My resolution this year has been to do things I wouldn't normally do. With that in mind, and inspired by some of the fabulous blogs I have listed, I decided to start this to keep track of what I am doing, supposed to be doing, and avoiding doing. Also as a place to let me rant, ramble, and hopefully not be a complete bore for those who stumble across me.

What is your thesis topic? Did you settle on Marrying Well or Dignified Exits When Rejecting Proposals?
Broadly it is looking at women, war and the family in Britain and Ireland between 1740 and 1820. Hopefully looking at notions of loyalty, duty, patriotism and setting it within the broader social, political and cultural context. Now whether that all happens is another story.
Marrying well, and for love is the ideal of course!
Not a wretched beginning at all! All you will have to watch is that you don't end up referencing and footnoting your blog instead of your thesis!
Good point Jacki! I will also have to make sure I don't just write a blog, instead of my thesis!!
Can't be too long before someone submits a blog as a thesis. I do like the sound of yours though.
